Mold, fungus

It's quite moldy this year. I hope we have a dry season come march. I can't handle too much more mold.

Infection

I'm hoping to get my meds in the am. This infection is clearly winning the fight. I'm in sad shape tonight. Been tasting blood for 24 hours. Very weak. Top it off this darn cough won't go away kris gave me. Share everything with the one you love.

2010 begins - I am victorious. A ten year vigorous never swaying weekly search ends for an 18 year old item. Through faith and diligence I waited patiently and emerged victorious. The longer it takes, the sweeter it is.

Let's take a trip..........

1991 - My first set of car audio woofers is given to me by my stepfather. They were supposed to be given to me to replace a set of Sony home woofers in the Sony cabinets where mine were worn out, but he got 4 ohm instead by mistake rather than 8 ohm. JBL T-104 ten inch 4 ohm woofers. They made the home amp run hot and shut off because they were too low of ohm. To fix this problem I got a car battery, a car cd player, and a car audio amp and used them in my room that way hooked to a battery charger to keep it all going. :) It would be 2 more years until I got my license. Over that two years that set of woofers led to over 8 more sets, learning how to design and build speaker boxes, buying and trading several amplifiers for my room, and if you want to fast forward about 7 years from that date - owning three car audio stores. Funny how things get started ain't it?

1998 - I open the first of three car audio stores and I am sitting in the middle of my first store on the night we are all there building the displays and walls. Everyone takes a break to eat pizza and I tell them the above story of how I came to that point and how I got started. I tell them I wish I could find another pair of those woofers, just so I could show everyone the woofers that started it all as I tell this story. I begin looking around June 1998 for the subwoofers that started it all.

2003 - I'm transferring myself to the web and doing ebay sales because it is better for me than paying overhead for physical stores and at the time ebay was very profitable due to LOW FEES and not too many (compared to today) people in my market. I start my online web search for the woofers having looked 5 years and found nothing. I search every crack and crevice of the internet for years.

2006 - I place a APB out (WTB :D) looking for these woofers after 8 years of searching for them. http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?TID=79824&KW

2010 - Last night it happened.

They were mis-listed as 12's, and the model number was wrong as well. Listed as a T100 when it was actually a T-108, which is the same as a T-104 woofer except 8 ohms. T-10 = 10 inches 4 = 4 ohm 8 = 8 ohm. Mis-listed, wrong size, wrong model, and in a city I would never look in for craigslist. I didn't find them. They found me. 19 damn years, and I finally have a tracking number showing these will be here Wednesday on my doorstep after 12 years of searching. Let's hope 2010 keeps rolling. I am already victorious for the year. Glad to get that out of the way so I can coast for the rest of the year. :D
